Community Bible Study, an interdenominational class for adults, meets every Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1809 Mississippi Blvd., Bettendorf.  Day classes 9:15-11:15 a.m.; evening classes 6:30-8:15 p.m.; faith-based teaching for children age infant-6th grade during the day. Ekklesia, an ecumenical, scholarship-based Greek New Testament reading group, meets every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Old Main 135 on the Augustana College campus. Greek fluency not required. For more information, call (309) 794-7335.

Grief Support Group at First Presbyterian Church, 777 25th Ave., East Moline, meets every other Tuesday morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. All adults are welcome, regardless of church affiliation.

 

Live Nativity Event at St. James Lutheran Church, 1705 Oak Street, Bettendorf; Saturday, Dec. 15 from 4-7 p.m. Witness the retelling of the Nativity story with actors, live animals, and carolers. Free soup and dessert supper and crafts for all inside our fellowship hall.  Donations of canned goods for the St. James Food pantry; hats, mittens and coats for our sister parish All Saints of Davenport gratefully accepted!

 

Christmas Concert and Free Community Meal, Sunday, Dec. 16, 5 p.m., South Park Presbyterian Church, 1501 30th St., Rock Island. All are welcome!
