Teresa LaBella, Marketing & Grants Director
Teresa LaBella joined Churches United of the Quad City Area as Marketing Coordinator in February 2017. Her job duties were expanded in July to include grant writing and management. Her job title change to Marketing & Grants Director reflects those additional responsibilities.
Teresa's professional journey in non-profit organization management began at the University of Illinois at Springfield, where she earned a master's degree in Arts Management and a master's certificate in Non-Profit Organization Management. She served as President of the Board of Trustees at the former Center for the Cultural Arts in Bettendorf when the decision was made to merge the arts center with the Children's Museum and create the Family Museum of Arts and Science on the Learning Campus with the Bettendorf Library. Teresa accepted her first marketing and development staff position in 1993 and has raised funds and community awareness for several Quad-City area non-profit organizations including the Congregation of the Humility of Mary, the Putnam Museum, Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities and the Humane Society of Scott County. A consultant providing strategic, fund development and marketing plan guidance for non-profits, Teresa received her bachelor of arts degree in communications from St. Ambrose University and continues to work as a freelance journalist for the Quad City Times and North Scott Press.
The published author of romance genre fiction married transplanted Canadian John LaBella in the rose garden at Vanderveer Park on a warm and sunny November day in 1999. She and her husband share their Davenport home with shelter-rescue fur babies Emmalee and Rosie.
