Community Bible Study, an interdenominational class for adults, meets every Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1809 Mississippi Blvd., Bettendorf.  Day classes 9:15-11:15 a.m.; evening classes 6:30-8:15 p.m.; faith-based teaching for children age infant-6th grade during the day. Ekklesia, an ecumenical, scholarship-based Greek New Testament reading group, meets every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Old Main 135 on the Augustana College campus. Greek fluency not required. For more information, call (309) 794-7335.

 

Toxic Charity Book Study, Tuesdays from Feb. 12 through March 26, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., at Riverside United Methodist Church, 712 16th St., Moline. Bring your own lunch. February Clothing Give-away, Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon a Broadway Presbyterian Church, 710 23rd St., Rock Island. FREE clothing in many sizes for men, women, boys, girls and babies. Many books, shoes and a few household items.

 

Immigration and Citizenship Workshop, Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Moline Public Library, 3210 41st St. FREE; no registration required. Representatives from QCAir and Esperanza Legal Assistance Center will be at the library to provide information on various immigration situations and how to become a U.S. Citizen. Attendees will be able to ask questions and get help with forms regarding their own immigration status.

Compassion to Others Retreat: a 24-Hour Retreat, Friday, March 1 at 4:30 p.m. through Saturday, March 2 at 5 p.m. Optional soup supper at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Retreat opens at 7:30 p.m.
